Review: Pride and Prejudice (2005)

Pride and Prejudice (2005) is a great movie. It is a movie based on the classic book of the same name. Pride and Prejudice is about a girl named Elizabeth Bennet. Elizabeth and her three sisters make the acquaintance of a man named Charles Bingley. Charles Bingley moves into a manor in town. He is a rich, eligible man that the girls’s see as a prospect for marriage. He is not the only rich man that the girls’s grow to know. The other man is a man named Fitzwilliam Darcy. Darcy is surly, moody and stern. Elizabeth does not like Darcy. However, as things change the two fall in love.

One of the things I loved about Pride and Prejudice is the cinematic scope of the movie. The sets in the movie are well-done. The British countryside is beautiful in the movie. You come to love Great Britain when you watch the movie.

Another great thing about the movie is the acting by the actress Keira Knightly. Knightly plays the main character, Elizabeth. She makes the character come-to-life. Elizabeth is smart, proud and witty. She doesn’t take orders from anyone. She doesn’t act differently around rich people like Darcy. She always acts like herself.

I think Pride and Prejudice is a great movie to watch. It’s a nice romantic movie that many women will love.

That’s it for my latest review.

Until next time…

Luca Lane
