Review: Julie & Julia (2009)

I watched the movie Julie & Julia (2009) and I fell in love with the movie. Julie & Julia is about a woman named Julie Powell who chooses to write a blog on how to cook. Julie wants to work through Julia Child’s cookbook. Julia Child is a famous cook who cooks in a French style. Julia Child’s most famous cookbook is the book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking. That is the cookbook that Julie decides to follow. She writes about each recipe that she cooks on her blog.

Julie’s hobby as a blogger shapes and changes her. The blog is a writing project that she has to do one-day-at-a-time. It’s her short-term goal that will help her to keep writing no matter what. It is a hit. Over time people start to pay attention to her blog. They support Julie through her endeavor. Julie cook’s lobster thermidor, artichoke and cheese dip and beef bourguignon among many other recipes in the movie.

Another great thing about the movie Julie & Julia is the actress, Amy Adams. Amy Adams is the main character, Julie Powell. Amy acts-out the character in an earnest, sweet and endearing way. You fall-in-love with Amy as Julie.

If you want to watch a movie about a girl who is passionate, determined and thoughtful, then, check out this movie.

That’s it for this movie review. I’ll see you in my next post.

Until next time…
