Movies to Watch in this Coronavirus Crisis

Are you stuck at home during this crazy Coronavirus pandemic like all of the rest of us? What does that mean? It means that you now have the time available for you to watch some movies. So, to make-light on this scary pandemic here is my list of dark, end-of-the-world movies that you might want to watch… if you are into that sort of thing.

  1. 28 Days Later (2002)

The first movie that I recommend that you watch is the movie 28-Days Later. It’s a great zombie movie. The movie begins with a stranger as he wakes up in a hospital… and the whole city that he lives in is deserted. The stranger tries to make it in the new world that he lives in with the help of some other survivors of the zombie virus. It may sound like a re-run of the show, The Walking Dead, but it’s not. You should give it a chance.

2. How I Live Now (2013)

The next movie that I think you should watch is the movie, How I Live Now. In this movie a girl named Daisy moves to England because of the effects of the war. Daisy falls in love. However, she struggles to survive in England when the army comes because the army separates Daisy from the people that she loves.

I loved this movie because of its heart. Daisy is an interesting character. Her love for a boy named Edmund is the anchor that leads her actions throughout the whole movie. If you want to watch something dark, or if you want to watch something with romance in it, then, you should give this movie a shot.

3. World War Z (2013)

World War Z is the next end-of-the-world move that I want to recommend to you. This movie is similar to 28-Days Later. There is a virus that turns people into zombie creatures. The star of this film, Brad Pitt, plays a man named Gerry Lane who tries to find the antidote to this zombie-virus. The movie is a wild ride.

4. I Am Legend (2007)

The last movie that I want to recommend is the movie, I Am Legend. I Am Legend is one of my favorite end-of-the-world movies. The movie is about a virus that spreads throughout the world. Again, the virus turns people into zombies. The star, Will Smith, plays the scientist Robert Neville. Neville wants to create the antidote to the virus. He captures zombies and experiments on them to help him to discover the antidote. The movie ends in a sad way.

These movies are the type of movies that you should watch if you want to binge-watch some movies that are end-of-the-world thrill-rides. But, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
