“Law and Order: Special Victim’s Unit” is one of my favorite television shows. The show is complicated, gritty, and true-to-life. The show focuses on two cops named Detective Stabler and Detective Benson. The two cops work together to solve crimes that have a sexual nature to them. There are a number of stand-out episodes in the “Law and Order: Special Victim’s Unit” television series. Here are five of the most memorable episodes on my list.

1. “Mean”| Season 5: Episode 17
The episode that is named “Mean” is a haunting episode. A young girl is found dead in the trunk of a car. The two detectives try to find out where the girl was the night before her murder. They heavily suspect three girls in the school who were best-friends with the murdered young woman. Outwardly, the three girls may act like normal people. However, they have a darker side that is frightening to see.

2. “Pixie” | Season 2: Episode 9
This episode of “Law and Order: Special Victim’s Unit” is about a girl who is found dead in an alley. The two detectives trace the murder of the girl to a gym for gymnasts. The detectives find out that the young woman was one of the gymnasts at the elite gym. She also had a sugar daddy that bought presents for the young girl like clothes, teddy bears, and jewelry. However, it takes some time for the two detectives to figure out who is to blame for the young girl’s murder.

3. “Responsible” | Season 8: Episode 18
The episode that is named “Responsible” is about a young woman who is found dead in a stranger’s house. The young woman died from alcohol poisoning. The two detectives try to discover who gave the young girl alcohol. They suspect a mother of a girl who attends a private school in New York City. The mother of that student is also found to be sleeping with a high-school boy.

4. “Gone” | Season 7: Episode 16
“Gone” is about three boys who allegedly raped a girl. One of the three boys is an integral part of the court case about the rape. The boy is hidden-away so that he may testify in court against his two friends. However, he is found before the court case takes place.

5. “Influence”| Season 7: Episode 22
This episode of “Law and Order: Special Victim’s Unit” is about a young woman who is raped in a bathroom at her high-school by two classmates. Later on the rape victim accidentally kills ten people when she is out driving because of the stress of the events taking place. The two detectives then learn that the girl is bipolar. The girl and her attorney claim that the deaths of the people in the car accident is due to her mental illness. A popular celebrity in the television show who is named Derek Lord supports the victim.
I hope you enjoy these episodes of “Law and Order: SVU.” I found these episodes to be thrilling and thought-provoking. You should definitely check-them-out.
